FURNITURE DESIGN
This subject introduces the student to the fundamentals of furniture design within the context of interior design. Students will learn about the major influences in society and decorative arts that molded the development of styles from antiquity to the present. This study will focus on the implications of cultural issues, materials, detailing and manufacturing processes, and ergonomics on furniture design. They will also design and produce furniture pieces in the resolution of a brief.

By research and observation, we are to produce sketches in detail with technical knowledge based on the topic given weekly.

Demonstrate usage of tools, machineries and techniques involved in furniture making with the selected materials. Second project will be based on the production management and carpentry fabrication methods.
